• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

New Pleskian
Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade from 11.5.30 to 12.0.18 however the license check is failing. I ran the commandline installer directly and examined the log file:

File downloading PSA_12.0.18/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: 63%..100% was finished.
Exchanging information with licensing server.
Ask KA server for key update: server url=https://ka.parallels.com:5224/xmlrpc product login=PleskLogin current key number=PLSKxxxxxxxxxxxxx to version=12.0.18
libswkey error code is 8
libswkey error description: Software Update Service (SUS) is not found for the given license key. Automatic upgrade is not possible
FileFetcher: get file (~empty)/PSA_12.0.18/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh

I've hashed out our license key of course. We bought Plesk many years ago and have a license that never expires - not sure what the error code 8 is?

Cheers, Mike

We bought Plesk many years ago and have a license that never expires - Do we need a new license key to be able to use version 12?

Cheers, Mike
