  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Upgrade PHP

Hi all,

I am running a server with a client requesting PHP 5.2.4+. As the install is running CentOS (which is very conservative being Red Hat) only 5.1.6 RPMs are and will be available for 5.1.6, with CentOS 6 likely a year out (maybe providing newer PHP code).

Does anyone know of a reliable method for upgrading a CentOS 5 system running Plesk (I can use Remi's repositories, but I'm hesitant as it may break Plesk completely)?

Thanks!
Les
