• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Upgrade Ubuntu 14 to 16 problems

Dukemaster

Regular Pleskian
Hi at all,
After several failed upgrades of Ubuntu 14 to 16 yesterday I got a real good Ubuntu upgrade support thread by @UFHH01.
Before I alwaya did the upgrade only by do-release-upgrade.
But I have a default installation by 1and1 Plesk 12.5 on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS.
So I activated Plesk 12.5 made only one subscription and the main settings, and made the successful Plesk Upgrade to Onyx. Then I changed PHP 5.x in subscription settings to PHP 7.0 and also in hosting settings of the one domain.
I ran the script
# /opt/psa/bin/distupgrade.helper.ubt14-ubt16.x64.sh
Everything seemed to be good, the script came to the end where it's necessary to reboot.
Reboot was not possbible because of lost network.
No connection over serial console, I decided to reboot over rescue.
After this I was able to connect over serial and re-run the script.
But connection to mirrors failed and I lost the whole system.
I think it has to do with my providers 1and1 special additional settings and that it is necessary to make additional changes before running the script. Perhaps around systemd, sources.lst, whatever.
Would be great to get further information. Install logs are only possible after making server new.
