  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi guys,

I have an upload site and the problem is that all files that are uploaded are owned by apache. This means that i have to 777 the folder which IS NOT a good idea!

I've read around and saw that mod_suphp may help? But the thing is, im running plesk on a dedicated server i bought with Cent OS also installed on it, and i have not much of an idea as to how this could be fixed?

Help gratefully received!

Dear Andre,
Does your site work when running PHP in CGI or FastCGI mode?
Assuming it does, then this is the quickest/easiest way to ensure that files uploaded by your site/CMS retain the correct ownership;

Plesk > domains > domain.com > Web Hosting Settings > PHP support
Select 'CGI' and click OK

I hope this helps.
Nick
