Use sftp to access external backup repository?

Hello,

The Backup Manager allows for an external repository to store backup files. For security reasons, though, my designated repository server blocks unencrypted connections.

Is it possible to configure Plesk to use sftp instead of ftp to access the repository? Configuration by GUI or CLI are both fine.

use sftp to access external backup: me too

I have the same issue - my host uses Plesk 8.6.0 and my FTP site only supports SFTP (for good reason). Is there a way I can configure the Backup Manager FTP Repository to use SFTP?

My guess is that you can't.

I gave up and implemented my own backup scheme -- much more flexible and better performance.
