STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Create a hosting plan with permission for remote storage backups only
  2. Assign the plan to a customer
  3. Create a S3 bucket for the customer and configure the backup with the S3

  1. The customer log in with his account
  2. The customer go to his panel on Backup Manager and request a backup

ACTUAL RESULT

Backup is written on remote storage AND a second copy of backup will created on local disk, in
directory /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/$USERACCOUNT/domains/$USERDOMAIN tacking up limited disk resources

EXPECTED RESULT

Backup should be written to remote storage ONLY.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I cannot forward this as a product issue report, because it seems specific to only your server. I cannot reproduce it here and also do not see it on several of my production hosts. Please contact Plesk support so that they can check the issue directly on your server.

Thank you for the feedback. I checked PPM-12015 and it is an open case that still needs to be resolved. It's been accepted as a product issue and will be fixed in a future version of Plesk.
