View different domains on Plesk via shared IP address?

BernieG

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

My new dedicated server is still not live; so I haven't updated the nameservers on my current domain names listed in Plesk.

However, is there a way to view my different domains via the IP address?

I know in cPanel; all I had to do was list the IP address followed by the account name and the website would load properly. For example:

http://x.x.x.x/~account_name
http://x.x.x.x/~account_name_2
http://x.x.x.x/~account_name_3
etc...

Can this also be done in Plesk; if not what's the best way to view my domains via the IP address?

Thank you!

The best is to change your DNS settings on your computer to be your new hosting server's IP address. Then any requests go there and you should now be previewing the websites on the new server. Then change them back to work as normal. (During this process do not send emails as they will try to go via the new server and this could end up in them being delivered locally and not remotely.)

The other thing we tried was to set up a proxy but we had some issues doing this and it did not work properly.
