• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Watch Out for Migration Problems with DNS

I want everybody to be aware of potential issues with the Migration Manager.

We just completed a migration from a Plesk 5.0.5 server to a Plesk 8.0.1 server. We moved over 150 domains using the Migration Manager.

After a thorough review of our DNS entries and were very surprised that 36 of the migrated domains did NOT copy over the mail.domain.com A record.

To the best of our determination, these records are in the old server's Plesk database (dom_recs), and are also in the old server's zone files.

I don't know if this is a specific issue to migrations from 5.0 to 8.0, or a more wide spread problem.

Can anybody else confirm or deny this particular issue?
