  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Webmaster acces

Oldky

New Pleskian
Hi all

I want to create one acces to the rented webmaster to access database just to change a few changes in the tables.

How do I do that only has access to the database and that it can not have acces to anything without database and accidentally delete it completely?

Hello Oldky )

You can create a custom user role, as described here, and grant it only the Create and manage databases permission, then create an additional user account based on that role. The resulting user account will be able to log in to Plesk and manage databases, but nothing more.

Unfortunately, there is no way to limit the database-related functionality available to the user (that is, they will be able to remove the database). To safeguard against that, make a dump of the database, as described here, before granting access to the webmaster you hired.

Hope that helps )
