Website Domain Redirect

Hello,

I want to setup a redirect for one of domains, to point to another one.

The domain that what i want to redirect has a document root folder that i do not want to lose.

I was hoping that somebody would be able to reassure me that changing my hosting type from website hosting to forwarding on that domain will not affect any of folders on the server?

If you try to change hosting type of domain from Website Hosting to Forwarding you will see alert:

Warning: The content of the website will be deleted.

Do you want to change the hosting type for your website?

Ok thanks for letting me know Igor.

If I where to change the root folder of the website to another folder within the same domain, would this also delete the content of the original root folder? or would the original root folder be preserved?
