Weird SSL Certificate Issue

skywalllker

New Pleskian
I purchased the wildcard certificate from Comodo and install it on my server. My primary domain and sub domain is working fine. For example:

https://www.mydomain.com --> OK
https://sudomain.mydomain.com --> OK

The problem is when I want to access this server control panel via its hostname:
https://svr.mydomain.com:8443

The cert didn't work, regardless with Chrome or Firefox, both browsers will throw warning error. Looking at the details of the warning, it seems like its pointing to SHA-1 instead of SHA-2 certificate type.

My system runs on Plesk 12.0.18 (inside OpenVZ container)

Really appreciate if anyone can help me with this issue.

Thanks!

Hi skywalllker,

did you add the certificate over the Plesk Control Panel and did you as well choose the option "Secure the Panel" ?

If you experience issues, it is always recommended to post log - files and/or depending configuration files ( in your case "Control Panel" - log - files ) :

... and if you don't find entries, which point to the issue/problem, you could always name the FQDN, so that we have a chance to investigate the issue for/with you.

Thank you UFHH01!!!

Your advise solved my problem. I have accessed the panel for hundreds of times but somehow I missed that part that you've highlighted!!

Thanks again!
