Hi all, I've seen this error on so many forums, but never a solution for the windows platform, only linux.
The error is this whentrying to send an email using horde:
There was an error sending your message: unable to connect to smtp server localhost:25
I can send email using outlook without problem, only not via horde.
smtp service is running and listening on the public ip address of the server, only not on the local host ip adress.
I think this can go two ways:
- change the "localhost" from the horde php code (i saw this as a linux solution) to the FQDN of the smtp server
- make mailenable smtp to listen on 127.0.0.1 as well
I have tried both without success so far. Maybe I'm doing something wrong in both options..
any help is greatly appreciated!
