What happens to site backup files when deleted from Panel

RationalPolymer

Basic Pleskian
When you delete a site backup from its "Backup Manager" Panel, it is removed and no longer displayed in the Panel. However, I cannot tell if this action actually does anything with the real site backup files in "/var/lib/psa/dumps". Does this action merely remove it from PSA's database but not touch any actual files? If this is true, then how are site backup files supposed to be managed if this action doesn't actually delete them?

If you delete backup of subscription which was made by subscriber - all backup files will be deleted.
If you have full server backup or reseller's backup and subscriber tries to delete his part (subscription) of backup through his control panel - corresponding records from Plesk database be removed only. Files of backup will not be affected.

Ah - I think that I see what our confusion has been: site backup files are in "/var/lib/psa/dumps/domains" and not in "/var/lib/psa/dumps/clients". The "site backup deletion" removes all of the "backup_<sitename>_..." files from "/var/lib/psa/dumps/domains/<site>".

Question: what then is the role of "/var/lib/psa/dumps/clients" which can also take up a considerable amount of disk space?
