What happens with e-mail on old server after migration?

Bart

New Pleskian
Hi,

If you transfered an account with the PMM, is e-mail still received on the old server being forwarded to the new one?

Is it a good idea to transfer only e-mail & accounts again after DNS propagates to the new server?

Thanks!

Actually we do not make any modifications of DNS or something else on source server after migration. I.e. email will be handled by old server after migration. So, in any case you should wait complete DNS propagation.

Ok, thanks.

If afterwards I transfer only mail & mail configuration, will it add mails that still where delivered to the old server in the mailboxes on the new one, or will it remove and recreate the mailboxes and thus overwrite current mail?

Mailboxes are not removed on destination server during the migration process. Emails will be added.
