Question Which version is fail2ban on Obsidian? Is it still 2 years old?

I'm still use Onyx, because Obsidian not supporting centOS8. See supported operating systems. I see thats its "started", but its already 5 months ago.

The only hint for a version of fail2ban I found in changelog (preview 7) on 23.10.2018
* Updated Fail2ban to version 0.10.3.1. Fail2ban now protects against attackers with IPv6 addresses.

So it is still version 0.10.3.1 (two years ago)? Current version is 0.10.5 and 0.11.1 is already out.

The current version provided by Plesk on our setup (signature) is this: Version: 1:0.10.3.1-v.ubuntu.18.04+p18.0.20.0+t191009.1747
At least it (finally!) covers IPV6 addresses, which wasn't the case when we were running Onyx.

If you search this forum, you'll definately find, it's not the only third party package that is way behind, in terms of current releases.
The reasons are.... extremely varied and will always depend on who you ask / who they work for!

Thanks for your answer. I like plesk, but security feature is not her strong point. That's disappointing.
Yes, I only want upgrade to Obsidian because IPv6 Support in fail2ban und few newer components or must I say upgrade from stone age to pre-industrial? ^^
