• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved WordPress Theme Uploading Error (NETWORK) using Obsidian on Ubuntu via GCP

GJ1

New Pleskian
Newbie user struggling to upload a wordpress theme via Plesk dashboard for X domain. I get the following error:

"REQUEST TO BACKEND API FAILED WITH ERROR: NETWORK ERROR". Then I am signed out automatically.

If I try to install one from the list, no problem. Only an issue uploading. I have tried to upload different themes, it's the same issue. Except sometimes I'm not signed out automatically.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Using:

Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
Plesk Obsidian

Also, the issue can be caused by browser password management plugin. Try to disable it.

Hey IgorG,

Many thanks for your help - it was the IP issue, all working well now. Cheers.
