• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

since several days I see the following error in panel.log
there is only 1 wordpress instance for testing which is running under php 7.2
in plesk panel > Wordpress > Domain - the screenshot was showing the wp theme as screenshot. Then I pushed the refresh button and the screenshot of the wordpress site was shown.

since I updated yesterday the extension, it seems the error message in panel.log is now history and gone... last entry was from yesterday.. So it looks fine at the moment.

I'll have to revive this thread.

Been through the logs and since 30 12 2019 we have every single day at least one, but up to 6 errors of this kind. Always the exact same error message:

[2020-01-07 08:39:23.196] ERR [extension/wp-toolkit] Failed to generate screenshot of instance #117: The screenshot service was unable to make screenshots. Request to the screenshot service has failed with the following error code: 424. Either screenshot service or the website itself is not available. Make sure that the website is working correctly and responding.

The instances affected are random. The time of the day it happens is also randomly spread across all 24 hours.

Hi @TomBoB,

Our screenshot service now also renders screenshots for Dynamic View in Plesk Obsidian, so it's been experiencing significant load spikes. I'll talk to our DevOps team to see what we can do.
