WordPress Toolkit install via Service Plan uses https even if SSL not enabled on plan
PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE:CentOS Linux 7.4.1708
Plesk Version 17.5.3 Update #40
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:Plesk Version 17.5.3 Update #40
I've been using the recently added feature of the WordPress Toolit (Plesk Onyx) that allows you to have WordPress installed automatically upon provisioning of a plan.
However, there seems to be no option to control whether the installation uses http or https prefix for the WP_SITEURL, and instead it always uses https, even if the plan doesn't have SSL/TLS Support enabled in the Hosting Parameters tab of the Service Plan set up.
I think this is therefore a bug in the WP Toolkit -- it should check the value of SSL/TLS Support and install with http or https as appropriate.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:However, there seems to be no option to control whether the installation uses http or https prefix for the WP_SITEURL, and instead it always uses https, even if the plan doesn't have SSL/TLS Support enabled in the Hosting Parameters tab of the Service Plan set up.
I think this is therefore a bug in the WP Toolkit -- it should check the value of SSL/TLS Support and install with http or https as appropriate.
Set up a Service plan with SSL/TLS Support disabled. Go to Additional Services and select "Install WordPress".
Provision a site using the plan.
ACTUAL RESULT:Provision a site using the plan.
WordPress will be installed using https prefix, even though SSL/TLS isn't supported by the plan
EXPECTED RESULT:If SSL/TLS Support is not enabled for the plan, WordPress Toolkit should install WordPress using http prefix.
