• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question XMLAPI Permission denied

Basic Pleskian

CentOS 7.9 ELS
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.72 Update #2
I have a subscription configured with multiple domains. There are also multiple users, 2 of which have an "Owner" role.
They want to use the XMLAPI. The 2 users that have identical roles however only one of the users can access the
XMLAPI successfully, the other gets a permission denied. We have tested this and have validated both accounts can be
used to manage the site via the control panel.

It was my understanding that we can allow multiple users access to the XMLAPI. Is there something that I missed with the configuration?

To my knowledge the XML API can only be accessed by the primary customer user account, not by any additional accounts belonging to that customer.
