• The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I need to update the current zend optimizer from 2.2 to latest 3.x

Do you have some ideas?

Can I try the script in Zend distribution?

Thankyou in advance

this is my php info:
[root@www ~]# php -v
PHP 5.2.5 (cli) (built: Nov 20 2007 17:51:47)
Copyright (c) 1997-2007 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2007 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.29, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd.
[root@www ~]#

It should be fine to upgrade Zend Optimizer, we installed Zend v3.x on Plesk 8.3 without a problem

Atomic. What is your support like for 8.3 running on CentOS 5?

I'm going to install my new server, and want to run your channel on YUM to update PHP and such.

I also plan to subscribe at a later date (once the server is hosted and running) to your paid for service. I'm hoping both are supported on chosen platform.

I'm also looking later this year to setup a dedicated server for a website project I'm about to start. I plan to use the same setup, but just run the one site on the server due to traffic and mem/cpu demands.

Matt

8.3 runs on CentOS 5 just fine. Thats what I use on all my servers, so if theres a problem with anything in my archive let me know. I'll get it fixed asap.

You can install Zend Core 2.5 too (which includes Zend Optimizer). It works great on my Debian Etch server. You've got an installer included in the package. Only the included mod_info doesn't work so I had to install this mod manualy.

Greets,
Dawn

Plesk is compatible with Zend Optimizer but it does not provide with zend packages. You should download this program from the official site http://zend.com and then install it on your server. Just one recommendation: install the latest version of Zend Optimizer which should be compatible with you PHP version (such information available on http://zend.com)

And look if you use ioncube, as i saw it getting installed while installing plesk.
Anyone know where it's placed in debian 4.0?

dpkg -L php5-ioncube-loader
/.
/usr
/usr/lib
/usr/lib/php5
/usr/lib/php5/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so
/etc
/etc/php5
/etc/php5/conf.d
/etc/php5/conf.d/ioncube-loader.ini

thanks atomic turtle. worked like a charm. Cent OS 5, Plesk 8.3

Is there a way to safely REMOVE Zend? It messed up my whole server....
