If you are still using CentOS 7.9, it's time to convert to Alma 8 with the free centos2alma tool by Plesk or Plesk Migrator. Please let us know your experiences or concerns in this thread: CentOS2Alma discussion
I am trying to setup autodiscover on my domain following directions from SmarterTools. These directions only lay out a method based on your website being housed on IIS. We use Plesk and Apache for our website. I have detailed directions on how to setup a URL Rewrite rule in IIS, but I have no...
I was able to get this working by just using the Slave DNS Manager extension and using my plesk servers as a "hidden master" server for all DNS zones. Thank you!
Hello-
I have my setup working correctly with 3 CentOS Plesk Onyx servers and Slave DNS Manager creating zones on my external CentOS7 BIND servers (these DNS servers do not run plesk, just standalone BIND9). This works well and zones are created and updated correctly. The issue is when I...
Hello-
I have a few Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 Update #42 servers running on CentOS 7. I would like to have a way to utilize their DNS capabilities but currently we have DNS switched off and use a centralized BIND server which is also running on CentOS 7. I didn't realize until this morning that...
Nevermind...i missed that I could download the properly bundled G2 CA cert from Repository. I downloaded "GoDaddy Class 2 Certification Authority Root Certificate - G2" and used it as my CA option in Plesk and all is well.
Hello,
I have a website which I migrated to my Plesk Onyx installation. They have an SSL cert issued by Godaddy. I applied for a rekey of this cert using the CSR process from inside of Plesk. The cert was rekeyed by Godaddy and issued. I downloaded the cert (chose IIS as format when...
Hello,
I have restored an MSSQL database from another server into my MSSQL server managed by plesk. This DB doesn't show up in the Plesk interface and I would like to add it and assign it to a website in Plesk so it can be managed from the normal interface. I see the "plesk bin database"...
Hello,
I have an existing transfer customer that already has a redirect at webmail.domain.com which forwards their users to their Exchange OWA. I need to replicate that change in the new Plesk setup. This would be very straightfoward by simply creating a forward for this subdomain, except we...
Hello,
I am working to migrate hundreds of DNS records from our current DNS server into a new Plesk linux server. We have had some user-manual issues stemming from records going in with transposed numbers, incorrect spellings, etc. Is there a way I can import dns zones (in BIND currently)...
I was able to fix this issue by deleting the user and re-creating a new one. The DB was restored from a different server during a migration and my guess is that the user was brought over as a sys-admin type. I should have checked that before posting.
Hello,
I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with our installation of mylittleadmin. The problem is that when a user logs into Plesk and goes to their DB and launches mylittleadmin, that user has access to all system and user DBs on the server. They are able to open any table and run SQL...
Yea I suppose we could run a scheduled script to clean things up...this gets more complicated, however, when we have more than 1 plesk server adding/editing DNS zones in our environment.
Is there a way to change the default behavior so that it actually gets removed? Even though the plesk server is acting as the master in this scenario, it doesn't get exposed to the inernet, so the first slave server is actually the nameserver. Would be nice if they were kept clean when domains...
Hello,
I have plesk setup in Windows using BIND. I have slave DNS servers and they sync correctly on DNS updates. If I delete a domain, however, the DNS entry on the slave servers remain. Am I doing something wrong or is there another step that is involved?
