Hey Igor, thanks for your feedback. However, that's not the issue. There's no high load while putting a backup to another ftp server. That runs smooth. It gets choppy as soon as files are uploaded to my server via FTP. There seems to be problems with this in 1.3.6 on other occasions as well...

Hm... I think the ruleset may be false here.. you allow incoming icmp for example but don't allow it outgoing so of course the server doesn't respond. Same goes for ftp / http .... you allow the basic ports but I think especially ftp requires also ports in the high range, linke 30k-35k to...

Comparing to what I pay monthly for a single web host license, you still seem to get a sweet deal. If I was having 70 of these licenses I'd be paying hell of a lot more.

Don't look at the plesk package description. SSH into the server and look at "uname -a" to see which version you are running. I just ran the manual update itself and installed the new kernel. No problems so far. After reboot "uname -a" showed the correct new version number.
