500 domain limit

GoDaddy's , Build You own server has the option of Plesk Control Panel Unlimited - Add $39.99.

But when asked about hosting about 1500 domains, godaddy support replied:

It has always had the option for unlimited, but the problem is that with the servers, they can only manage up to 500 domains at this time. It is the way the server handles the requests.

Any reason why their server having Plesk 8.1 cant handle more than 500 domains ?
