I just finished upgrading to Version 8.4.0. Now when I send an email via Outlook, I receive the following error:

May 2 13:22:37 gear-l100 relaylock: /var/qmail/bin/relaylock: mail from 71.142.85.166:57702 (adsl-71-142-85-***.dsl.pltn13.pacbell.net)

- I have outlook setup to log-in to POP before SMTP.
- I have plesk setup to whitelist 127.0.0.0 / 32
- I have relaying set to: authorization is required, POP3 lock time 20 Min, SMTP enabled
- I have the submission enabled
- No domain keys, etc.

Any suggestions?

I've noticed that users can't send email via SMTP with AUTH enabled.

This apeears to be an SSL problem. Mails come with legend: "encrypted AES256 SHA1".



any suggestions?

Yeah, it seems to work without the SSL encryption. I'm still trying to get their techs to figure it out.

Seems like the current solution would be to downgrade to 8.3

Change your Outlook settings to use the "Use the same settings as incoming mail server". Also, you guys should really specify how you've setup the mail server.

- server
- mail server
- withe list
--> and in this with list 127.0.0.1

And after you can send email with outlook without error.

Unfortunately this doesn´t work at my server.
I think that Plesk 8.4 misconfigured the settings of Q-Mail completely!
This 553 message seems to be totally meaningless.
It doesn´t matter at all, which configuration I try at the server or the client.

Because downgrading is hard, it seems to be that only manual configuration of Q-Mail possibly can fixx this bug.

and restart qmail
