  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Having trouble updating the MySQL database. :(

This is on a FRESH 6.02 install. I removed all psa RPMs and renamed the /var/lib/mysql/psa and /usr/local/psa directories, then installed 6.0.2 and restored a 6.0.2 backup..

===> Upgrading MySQL Database from version 6.0 to 7.0
Trying to upgrade SQL database... ERROR 1005 at line 4: Can't create table './psa/subdomains.frm' (errno: 121)

Should I try upgrading to 7 first? :S

Thanks for any suggestions

I don't understand why a working fresh install/restore wouldn't be able to be upgraded directly. Perhaps I am not removing Plesk correctly. Is there any documentation on this or does anyone know the exact process to completely (temporarily, of course!) remove Plesk?

Thanks, DW

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I won't be making it to Plesk 7.5.2 on this server - my clients had been down way too long so I restored 6.0.2 (with all patches, at least) and will not attempt another upgrade for risk of 2 more hours down.

I'm tired... :)
