• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

When we try to create a domain from a template we get an error "__wrong_hosting_type__none".
We recently upgraded from 8.3 to 8.6. We also had this error while browsing to the second page of a domain's httpdocs directory.

Any actual support here ?

We are also getting "Error: Unable to update hosting preferences: WebServerManager::addVhost() failed: websrvmng failed: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (Error code 32) at Open file 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\fcgiext.ini'" when trying to add a php template website.

Apparently saving the template again cleared the fcgi error, but the permissions are still messed up and we still get that wonderfully cryptic __wrong_hosting_type__none error.
Chalk it up to pleak "stability" heh.

Hopefully we can eventually find a control panel that actually doesn't import on upgrades heh.
