• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Add Alias Issue

Hi,

We're running Plesk 10.4.4 Update #57 on Windows Server 2008, and we're running in to a bit of trouble.

We are unable to add domain aliases. We get to the page where we can enter the alias and select the services (web, dns, mail) and when we hit Next we either get a blank page or a 500 error.

Checking the logs for the panel, the following error appears in the php_error.log when attempting to add an alias.

[22-May-2014 11:17:20] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method DNSManager::isSubdomainOwnZone() in D:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\plib\domainaliases\DomainAliasesManager.php on line 262

I've attempted a hand full of manual fixes with no success. Posts out there suggest that its because of domain without zones in the PSA database. There were 2 that I ended up fixing with no luck of fixing the issue.

There is also the following KB is like my issue, except limited to adding Aliases. It doesn't apply due to having Update #57 installed.

From the PHP error, it seems to make sense that the fixes didn't work. I'm not a developer but the error makes it sounds like its a code thing, its trying to find a method or function that doesn't exist.

Any ideas?

Matt
