• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Application Vault + MySQL Suggestion

Hello,

It would be nice if during the installation of a product from the Application Vault that you can specify an already existing mysql database (local or on a remote server) to do the install to instead of creating a new one every time. This would also allow sharing of databases as you could set a prefix during the application install via browser (assuming the app supports it of course).

Would also be nice if server side could have a setting to disable installs and only allow file copies.

This would be handy for those hosts that only run remote or centralized databases and do not use any hosted on plesk servers.

It would also be nice if mysql could do a host account prefix and seperator.

For example, if clientA created a database named DB1 it would really be named clientA_DB1 ([prefix][seperator][dbname]) instead of just DB1. This could be enabled/disabled as a server setting, as well as prefix being set globally going forward.
