autoinstaller plesk 8.1

I'm afraid the problem is having 'stable' in there, as since the release of etch (Debian 4.0) stable is probably pointing to etch and not sarge (3.1) repostories. You might want to try changing 'stable' to 'sarge'.

Than you breun

I get it changing stable for sarge in the source.list file

Ok, I got it thanks to tglawe.

I just kept doing an apt-get libapache2-mod-python,etc...

and eventually it installed plesk.

Arg,I spoke too soon. I can login into plesk but some things aren't there. I then ran the Plesk install again:

[root@localhost vz-scripts]# vzpkg install 142 plesk8

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libapache2-mod-python: Depends: python-central (>= 0.5.8) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python (>= 2.4) but 2.3.5-2 is to be installed
psa: Depends: psa-php4-configurator but it is not going to be installed or
psa-php5-configurator but it is not going to be installed

Using 'stable' with apt-get isn't going to work as it points to the Debian 4.0 (Etch) repository and Debian 4.0 is not supported by Plesk yet. Use 'sarge' (Debian 3.1) instead.

My /etc/apt/sources.list/
Any ideas ?

Thanks per advance

danliker,

Thanks fo you response.
I change that in all line of this file ?

change it in all lines in the file /etc/apt/sources.list

maybe it is too late if you already have some etch packages installed ....

danliker,

I change that and I execute the auto installer of plesk to try and it works with that.

Normal ?
If I understood Plesk 8.1.1 need package of Debian Sarge ?

Thanks you

at the moment plesk 8.1.1 supports debian sarge 3.1.

swsoft said me that plesk 8.2 (end of june) will support debian etch 4.0
