automatic resizing to screenresolution

how can we avoid that web-visitors on different sized screens (i.e. 10, 14, 17" monitors) will get a different view of the internetpage they're on.
On screens wider then 19"everything is visable.
When smaller, they need to scroll to the right in order to see the rest.

How can we avoid this???
