autoupdater problem

does anyone know what this message means? I get it whenever i try using the autoupdater:

Warning: Error: Curl download failed: Connect failed; Operation now in progress Can't download https://autoinstall.plesk.com/versions.inf3.

check out your firewall, maybe you have blocked traffic on the port the autoupdater works.

i cant exactly remember it. i have on my firewall allowed a range of ips sw-soft requested me to allow.
