• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Best linux distribution for plesk 7.5 reloaded

What is the recommended linux distribution for plesk 7.5?

Now I've some problems with RH7.3 and I plan to reinstall linux and plesk. Should I upgrade to RH9 or change to another distribution?

I would go with RHEL3, but if you don't want to pay for that then I would go with Fedora Core 2. RH9 is end of life and so it Fedora Core 1 and RH7.3. At least go with an OS that is still being patched on a regular basis.

I'd recommend CentOS as it's a free clone of RHEL3 which is very actively maintained and works fine with Plesk.

http://centos.org/

Out of all versions of Plesk, RHEL3/CentOS build is usually most popular so is best maintained by SWsoft.

What backup solution do you use for the entire system with centos?

Thanks,
Jurriaan
