Question Best Practice for Plesk Backup

BNO

Basic Pleskian
Hey Guys,

It is Recommend to split Backup-Files, and if yes, which size ?

i hope you can help me :)

Thank You!

Best Regards

It’s hard to talk about or recommend best practices regarding your backup strategy. It all depends on individual needs. There is no better solution. Each backup solution is good in its case.

My provider makes snapshots every 4 hours by default and stores them for 48 hours. Which is incredibly useful and saved my *** on numerous occasions. Besides this I use the backup manager in Plesk to make daily backups and store them offsite (AWS S3). I think is a must to save backups offsite. Just in case your provider/datacenter becomes 'unreliable' or you just need to recover a specific file from a backup.
