• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

best way to downgrade from php 5.3 to 5.2.17

New Pleskian
hello everyone

first of all i know there are similar topics on the forum but non of them had a good conclusion and a real way to work things out so i am asking my question :

i am using ubuntu 10.04 with plesk 10.4.4
i need to downgrade from php 5.3 to 5.2.17 in order to get zend optimizer to work.
i heard that downgrading php and compiling a new version of it might corrupt plesk control panel and it should be done carefully. so what i wanted to ask is : "What is the safest and easiest way to downgrade from php 5.3 to 5.2.17 on my server without any trouble?"
