Cannot access plesk-stat folder

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to the Plesk game so please bear with me.

I wanted to have a look at the stats for my domain name so I ticked the "Web statistics" and "(accessible via password protected directory '/plesk-stat/'" folder options.

However when I visit https://domain.com/plesk-stat/webstat I get a time out error. I am not prompted for my FTP login and password as I understand I am supposed to.

Having gone into the folder https://domain.com/plesk-stat/ via the Plesk file manager I can see there is indeed nothing there.

Is this the cause of the problem? Can anyone suggest how to fix it?
