Resolved Cannot Update

Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

On Plesk start page it said updates are available. But when I updated my server crashed. I have rebooted server and ran apt-get update apt-get update manual. I received error "dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem". Did that, server crash again. error on removing any extension is:

I've encountered a similar problem in attempting to install Plesk on a fresh CloudLinux server. Here is my error log output:

hi Raymond,

you could try

apt-get install -f

to repair broken packages and afterwards

dpkg --configure -a

again.

It may be worthwhile to run a file system scan beforehand. in case the file system got corrupted and damaged important system files as a result.

it now appears you have a conflict between Courier IMAP and Dovecot IMAP. Did you at some point try to switch between the two?
Whichever one is listed under Tools & Settings - Updates & Upgrades - Add/Remove Components - Mail hosting, switch to the other one; and if that throws an error, switch back again.
Next step after that - if you still get an error - would be to uninstall the clashing one manually using CLI. Assuming you want to keep Courier:

plesk installer --select-release-current --remove-component dovecot
