Resolved Change email address for notifications

bernhardh86

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.56 Update #3
Notification messages from plesk are send via my gmail address, which doesn't work since I get always

> Message Delivery Failure - Mail Delivery System
> MTA example.secureserver.net received this response from the destination host IP - XX.XX.XX.XX - 550 , 550-5.7.26 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated.
> 550-5.7.26 Gmail requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM.
> 550-5.7.26
> 550-5.7.26 Authentication results:
> 550-5.7.26 DKIM = did not pass

How to change the sender mail to some mail domain on the server? I have already set it in my profile:

Thanks thats exactly what I am asking. The point is, that Plesk used this mail-adress (gmail) to send mails and there is nowhere else an option, where I added this mail address. Thats why I posted the screenshot. But I will give the ini setting a try. Thanks!

@Peter Debik I am still getting this errors:

Reason: There was an error while attempting to deliver your message with [Subject: "Backup task notification"] to [email protected]. MTA sxb1nlsmtp04.prod.sxb1.secureserver.net received this response from the destination host IP - XX.XX.XX.XX - 550 , 550-5.7.26 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated.
550-5.7.26 Gmail requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM.
550-5.7.26
550-5.7.26 Authentication results:
550-5.7.26 DKIM = did not pass
550-5.7.26 SPF [gmail.com] with ip: [YY.YY.YY.YY] = did not pass
550-5.7.26
550-5.7.26 For instructions on setting up authentication, go to
550 5.7.26 Email sender guidelines - Google Workspace Admin Help o8-20020a1c7508000000b0040e4bf11700si7593194wmc.230 - gsmtp

I don't understand it. I have already set another mail adress in the ini Editor:

```
[notification]
senderAddress=[email protected]
```

The problem seems to be that your server domain or the sending domain do not have an SPF record. This is something you need to set in your DNS for the domains.
