  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Change MX in DNS template for new domains

Chris1

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

We would like to change the MX records in the DNS template for new domains only. We do not want this change to occur for existing customers.

Is there a way to make Plesk think that all existing customers MX records are custom so that they wont get overridden by the DNS template changes?

You can use Event Manager for domain creation event with corresponding CLI command for updating MX record.

Hi @IgorG

Thank you, I'll take a look at that.

But I cant change the server DNS template without it impacting existing domains?
