• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Question Change provider / owner of a service plan...

Rob Taylor

Basic Pleskian
In the Plesk panel there is the 'Service Plans' section where you setup the plans for subscriptions to use.

We have around 5 different service plans, web and email hosting, email hosting only, web forwarding only etc.

We also have resellers who use the same plans but I cannot apply the default plans where we are the 'Provider' to any subscriptions under the reseller, they are just simply not listed as an option when you try to change the plan.

I can see the option to clone a plan but is it possible to change the 'Provider' for a plan rather than having to go through and re-create them for each reseller?

I have Googled, searched these forums and checked the documentation and can't find any info... is it possible?

Thanks
Rob

What did you find out?
You have to create new Service Plans for the Reseller accounts. I also discovered that a Reseller can create an 'Unlimited' service plan as a Reseller and you can't restrict that yet. So you have to keep an eye out for that as some of our Resellers will automatically choose the Unlimited plan instead of the plans with restrictions on them.
