  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Changing Plesk from acting as Primary DNS

New Pleskian
I am interested in setting up some new Nameservers so I can implement some DNS failover servers that most likely won't be using Plesk. Basically I just want to point some of the sites to temporary websites when there is a server outage on my Plesk server.

If I changed the Nameservers in the DNS settings for a specific domain and pointed them to the "new" Nameservers, as long as I replicate the rest of the DNS zone settings for this domain on the "new" Primary DNS Nameservers would every thing work just fine?

Or is there more to this then I am aware of?

Thanks in advance for any responses.
