Confirmation regarding limiting

Goodday,

I'm wondering if i'm correct but can you confirm:

Limit button in the root menu (for the user) is global limiting including email storage. The limit function at the setup button is for httpdocs.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Correct. But the limit for the entire domain is a virtual limit, Plesk will not stop the user from exceeding the limit. You need to ensure that either you monitor Plesk's emails warning you a user exceeded the limit, or link Plesk to an external billing system.

So the virtual limit can be used for sending an email when that is reached. Like.. you put the hard limit on 170 mb and then the domein limit on 150 so the user will get an email 20 mb's before.

Well, I suppose it could, but you need to remember the virtual limit includes databases, mail, config files, etc. but the hard limit is only either 1 mailbox (mail quota limit) or webspace (hard limit).
