Couldn't create directory

Hi

I'm running a VPS account on Plesk and not a technical person. Actually I'm facing a strange issue on my 3 Wordpress blogs hosted on it. Every time I try to upload a plugin, theme, upgrading Wordpress version it gives an error "couldn't create directory".

I tried to do safe mode off by writing php.ini file safe mode = off. It didn't work.
I tried 777 for upgrade and wp content. It didn't work.
I tried host support they said its an issue with the plesk.

So I am here for a chance to know any feedback on this. Thanks in advance!!

Make sure that tmp directory is writeable. Then go to your Plesk panel and uncheck PHP safe mode in Webhosting Settings.

Thanks for the reply.
One more favor : can you please tell me the path for temp folder and where can I find safe mode off option. Actually I'm not a technical person. :)
