• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Couple of really noob question

Hi,
I'm approaching a Parallels Plesk 8.2.2 server, I need to migrate it to a 9.2.3 one. I'm just a little confused on the "migration" term - does it means that the old server data will be just copied or it will be entirely moved? The old server is still in production, so I can't take this risk. I've read most of the documentation available for the new PMM, this is not clear at all, and I don't have time to put on a lab test to find out myself.
The second question is about the kind of migrated data. According on what's written in http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PPP9/Doc/en-US/plesk-9.2-migration-guide/ the PMM won't move "server wide settings", can anyone explain me which setting is NOT migrated with PMM?
Thanks,

Marco

Marco B,

You shouldn't worry about migrated data - it is just copy process but not moving.
Regarding your second question I can just say that it mean that only domain or client related settings will be migrated but 'server wide settings' like admin's email, etc. will not.
