• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Database user creation

New Pleskian
Hi,

I just run into the following problem:
when creating a new (mysql) database user with "Add username and underscore to the beginning of database user names" enabled; the <panel_username> is trimmed to 5 characters. I know the max length for a database username in plesk is 16 characters. So this leaves 10 characters for the customer to define himself.
As our usernames can take up to 8 characters, I have a problem with the 5 character trims. Is there any way to change this behaviour so that the part before the "_" can take more characters ?

Best regards and thanks for any feedback.
