  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Discussion of plesk ui usability

The only good thing I can think of, is the password encryption and security enhancements in general.
Why did not just do the security enhancements ?? WHY ????

Funny thing about that is the keys used for the encryption are stored somewhere in Plesk, because there's a CLI command that will output the admin password in plain text if you need it.

/usr/local/psa/bin/admin --show-password

I agree with everything you said about the hosting aspects; I like how they tell the hosts what the hosts want.

Since this thread was originally about how great the UI is, here's a new one for the list:

If a reseller creates a backup task at the reseller level, there is no way for the 'admin' account to see it, modify it, delete it.

And you wonder why hosts don't like Plesk 10+... makes it real easy for your support staff to help customers with things when they can't even see them.
