• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

DNS defaults ignored - Plesk 8.01

Cudos to the development team for finally making it possible to migrate Ensim sites to Plesk with the migration wizard of Plesk 8.01 (Virtuozzo/RHEL4). This will greatly enhance our chances of finally phasing out Ensim and concentrate on Plesk.

There is however still one serious problem I would like to address and if possible, have a fix for:

The " dns defaults" - mainly the change from the default ns.< domain> to ns1.ourdns.com and ns2.ourdns.com - seem to be ignored both by the domain migration wizard, by domain aliases and by group operations.

In all cases Plesk reverts to using the " standard" Plesk ns.< domain> setting for NS records instead of the changes made under server > dns.

The only way to correct this seem to be to go into each domain > dns > default. When you migrate hundredes of domains that is both tedious and time consuming.

For domain aliases the template changes are completely ignored, also when reset (default clicked).

Yep, I've got the same problem, not been able to find a solution.

It's a real problem when using domain aliasing.
