Question DNS Integration for Cloudflare

DataPacket

New Pleskian

Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.56 Update #1
Hello, I recently installed the DNS Integration for Cloudflare extension. After going through the provided documentation at DNS Integration for Cloudflare®, it was my understanding that there would be certain user-level options available, specifically the ability to enable and disable the Cloudflare proxy.

However, upon checking the user panel, I'm unable to locate any such options related to this extension. Did I perhaps miss a configuration step during the installation, or are these features available elsewhere within Plesk?

Any guidance or directions to properly configure and manage this extension from the user perspective would be highly appreciated.

Ty ~Brian

You cannot control your Cloudflare account settings with the extension. The purpose of the extension is to sync the DNS entries between your Cloudflare account and your Plesk DNS.

It appears as if it's meant for just a web admin and not for hosting providers & users, can you clarify if that is true?

Can anyone confirm for me if this extension auto-syncs DNS changes FROM cloudflare back to plesk? I know the auto-sync can send changes TO cloudflare which works as advertised. I'm just not clear if its supposed to work the other way as well.

I know clicking the import button will pull a one time copy of the zone from Cloudflare. This is more if someone edits DNS in cloudflare can it aut-sync back to plesk. My experience at the moment is it does not. Bug or by design?

Hey, @burnley. This is by design, with auto-sync enabled only the changes applied in Plesk are pushed to Cloudflare. The other way around is to import the settings as you already discovered.

I have a question: Is it possible to connect multiple cloudflare accounts with the cloudflare dns extension?
I'd have a couple of different customers with their own cloudflare accounts which want to join my plesk server.
In the extension gui I saw no possibility, to add multiple DNS api tokens from cloudflare.
Might this be possible via panel.ini or via ssh in a config file and if so, how to do?

Hey, @cpulove. This functionality is yet to be implemented. There's an existing UserVoice request for it and I would like to encourage you to vote for it. The more votes idea gets, the more likely it is to be considered for implementation.
Thanks for your reply. That is very disappointing, that this is still no option. Isn't there any workaround at least for the server admin to manage multiple cloudflare DNS tokens?

I guess I have to make a new account to be able to vote? Voting means choose from one of the three options under "how important is that...", right?

At this point, it is not possible to manage several tokes. However, our team is currently working on a possibility to integrate that feature. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any ETA or any finality on whether it will be introduced at all as some complication may arise.

Regarding your last question, yes, you need to have an account in order to vote. You don't need to necessarily select the importance. You need to click on the "Vote" button.
