Switched Primary Domain: Login no longer working.
I had a problem. So i attempted to fix it.
I'm a 1&1 customer and they set the default domain in pelsk to http://XXXXXX.onlinehome-server.com .
So every time i type in http://www.mydomain.com:8334 to enter plesk, it redirects me to https://XXXXXXX.onlinehome-server.com:8443/
I researched the solution and found it in the 1&1 customer forums. Basically, i edited the /etc/hosts file and removed the line:
my.ip.add.ress XXXXXXX.onlinehome-server.com
and replaced it with my primary domain and ip address. I idi a "/etc/init.d/network restart" and then "/etc/init.d/psa restart"
now when i go to https://www.mydomain.com:8443/ it does not redirect but gives me the plesk login.
I can not log in from this screen. it always boots me out to the login screen again (admin and client login do not work).
so i go to https://XXXXXXX.onlinehome-server.com:8443/ and log in as admin and it logs in successfully. Then it notifies me that someone else is logged in as admin (presumably from my previouls login attempts at the actual domain).
Does anyone know what else i could do?
I have my hosts file backed up so i can go back to the old configuration if needed.
Can anyone help???
Thanks so much.
