• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.

Resolved Downgrade to Free magicspam

MattCaz

Basic Pleskian
I have been paying for MagicSpam for about 3 yrs now and now that it's free in Plesk 12, I wanted to move to the free version. I uninstalled the paid version and Plesk won't let me install the free version. It says it's not available. I even tried renaming the Magicspam folder in /etc but still no joy.

How do I fully remove the remnants of paid MagicSpam so Plesk will let me install it.

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance!

I solved my own problem. I downloaded the zip file from the Plesk catalog and then installed it thru the extensions management control panel. I did have the old Magicspam folder renamed and then I moved my exceptions file into the new folder and it all seems to be working fine as the free version.

Maybe this can help someone else in this situation.
