  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

I host some websites for friends, but somehow it's now growing out to real customers... i've always made the arrangements in such a way that email is being hosted on Google Apps, and that works fine. The only big problem is that my clients or customers can still click the mail-link on the left menu, and thereby creating non-functional mailboxes. This even works when all mail-limits are set to zero, mail functionality is switched off for both client and domain, overuse is not allowed, etc. etc.

any ideas on how to fix it? customers don't seem te be as bright as to read the instructions provided by me, and still try to make mailboxes on the server in stead of the google way...

Hello,

You can hide the Mail button at the following way:

Home > Interface dropdown menu > Home page presets > select the preset

Here you can specify what actions should be shown on the Home page. The Selected actions lists show the tasks for which shortcuts are already placed on the Home page. The Available actions lists show the tasks for which you do not yet have shortcuts on your Home page.

* To add a shortcut to the Home page, select the required tasks in the Available actions list and click Add >>.
* To remove a shortcut from the Home page, select the task that you do not need in the Selected actions list and click << Remove.

Please, see the following article for more information:

It's not the matter of the main screen, there it was removed a long time ago. The problem consists of the fact that it somehow can't be edited in the left-menu-pane, and that makes it possible to access the email-settings even though they should be disabled...

Hi, I have the same problem. Did you get a solution already?

Still no answer

No, unfortunately i still have no answer...
